You've seen those new PSP commercials? This is how all black kids talk and dress now. Under the amazingly subtle message, the commercial provides you with one last motivation to buy their product. If all else fails, "Cause Black Kid Said So." I actually know this kid. As an actor, not in person or anything.
Well, "Marcus" could tell you more about the PSP than I could. I've never used it. And even though it's exactly what they were meant for, these commercials aren't encouraging me to go buy it. I know the PSP is still in the rush, but for me, it's like seeing a commercial for the Sega Dreamcast. It just feels like it should be old and out of style, but the fact that they're bringing it to the forefront is awkward to me. I'm seeing more commercials for the PSP, than I am for the PS3. ;' \
But it's probably just my location.
Now that that's outta the way, let's break into the PS3. Even though it was trashed just in the last post, I am glad the PS3 can do blu-ray, as well as of course, play video games. However, there are only two games that I really wanted that were only available on the PS3. Little big planet, and Infamous. Should two games be enough to get you to buy a console? Well, it wasn't. Or at least, not yet. Also, TBC means, "To Be Continued." Meaning that when a crucial change has been made to this post, it will be reposted with updated information.

"The War Has Just Begun" (Blu-Ray VS DVD)

Either way, your life has been ruined. Why do you think blu-ray has that extra buzz behind it? Is it just clever marketing & timing? Using cool words like "HD," and "ray?" Or, is it genuinely just a better quality, and the future of at-home movie watching? Having seen loads of DVDs, but seeing almost no blu-ray, count this as just an observation of DVDs, as opposed to both DVDs and blu-rays. As far as quality goes, I think DVDs are fine in and of themselves. And unless you're blinded by pure nostalgia, they beat Videotape hands down.
Having special features is awesome! One time, a VHS tape of mine actually had an "interactive" game on it that played after the main movie. It asked a bomb trivia question, stilled for 30 seconds, and then buzzed incorrect. IT'S A FREAKING VIDEOTAPE! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? But on the other hand, DVD has it's problems too. Like how you can't skip the previews or the FBI warnings sometimes. That's bummer. And I'm sure blu-ray is no different when it comes to that.
But yes, that was only real question I asked. "Do you own a blu-ray player?"

"This Here's For Young'uns!" (Xbox 360)
Currently owning an Xbox 360, (and currently not being very good with it) I've discovered that there's more to the console than just dorky or angry teens/young adults playing the latest shoot em' ups. True, my Brother owns about 9 of those games, but that's probably a weak collection compared to a lot of other guys. Since we function as a family, we've purchased numerous family friendly games for the 360. Such as, Beautiful Katamari...and others. As far as problems with the 360, we've only ever received the "Red Ring of Death" about two times. Which isn't a whole lot considering the reputation of...
But I digress. Well, not really, but I need to stay more focused. I am however, in love with the DVD playing feature. Sadly, that's all we really use it for anymore. Using the 360 to play DVDs seems a lot cooler than using a real DVD player for some reason. Maybe it's because now, the common DVD player looks out of date and old in comparison to a Blu ray player. Hmm, maybe the war between DVDs and Blu ray will be the next observation.

My Box of Joy (Nintendo Gamecube)
Growing up, the Nintendo Gamecube was my first console, and my first real taste of advanced tech. We got it late after it's release, but years before there was even a commercial for the Wii. We weren't rich, so we only got the games that we reeeeeeally wanted. Such as, SSBMelee, Super Mario Sunshine, and SSX3, just to name a few. As far as tech goes, sometimes the Gamecube demonstrated better processing with graphics than even the Wii! We had this special controller for the Gamecube, it had this cool air blowing feature to keep your hands cool, and an extra long cord. (Seen right) The Gamecube wasn't only my first console, it was my first love. That's why I included it in the favorite console poll. Because it may mean a lot to someone. Granted, it may not. But still, to a degree, I believe in sentimental value. Yes, this is as nostalgic as I can really get. I've played some old games before, but nothing too too old.
Introduction (Webcams)
Hello, didn't see you there. ;)
I know that's corny, but it's true. I really can't see you, unless I have a webcam thingy
All the ones I've ever used or witnessed have had this kinda grainy quality. And I'm like, "what's the point of being seen if you're gonna look like crap when they see you." I'm sure they make high def, or high quality webcams, but I prefer to just be there in person, or take the time to doll up, and then make a video. The webcam has it's advantages, like capturing the anger of someone when they've lost their game, or having a sexy chat with a girlfriend over long distance, or dare I say, allowing old people to see their grand kids, even if they're cities apart. Wow, I went off track. Congratulations, you've read my observation of webcams. If you agree with me, you hit the agree button. If you don't, you can figure out the rest. ;)
